Milad, Hafez and Kamiar joined forces three years ago to make up the very hip new group, Farez. The three young, good looking and very cool members, have already taken over the airwaves with their song, "Yek, Doh, Seh" and you can bet that with the release of their new album, stereo systems worldwide will be blasting the hip new style of Farez.
Milad (B: September 10, 1981), Hafez (B: September 15, 1983), Kamiar (B: March 8, 1983), are paving the way for Persian Rap and making a name for themselves in the Iranian entertainment industry. However the young singers aren't limited in their talent, Hafez studied computer science, Milad is an engineer, and Kamiar wants to become an actor and is already in Houshang Touzie`s play, "Az Mahvareh ba Eshgh" which also stars Behrouz Vosoughi. Farez has performed live for major venues, having opened up for many of Iran's greatest artists, including Shahram Shabpareh, Leila Forouhar, Mansour, Ebi and Siavash Ghomeyyshi. It's interesting to note that the group name Farez originated when Milad was at a party where he meets a 12-year old boy named Fares. Upon learning that his name meant "victory" , Milad decided that he liked the sound of the name as well as its meaning and went on to drop the "s" add a "z" and create his group's new name! Farez victorious album titled "Persianality" with a total of 10 tracks that are all of a rap/hip hop beat has been released in early September by Tapesh Records with Alireza Amirghasemi and Masoud Jamali as the executive producers.
The boys mischievously claim, "No doubt the kids will love it and the parents will get headaches!" There ultimate goal? To bring a new generation of Iranian music to the youth.
