Shahryar's history is an interesting one. He was born in Tehran, though actually raised in Europe. Even while still quite young Shahryar felt enthralled by the power of music, and by 11 he was playing and practicing the piano regularly (inspired by Persian stars like Fereidoon Forogi and Dariush). When the time came, he chose to pursue his education in the States, where he eventually earned a degree in architectural design and business. Throughout this era, however, he never took his eyes off his inner passion: music. By 2002 he had begun collaborating with a Southern Californian vocalist, and in 2004 Shahryar released his debut CD to great acclaim.

Several other hit albums followed in the subsequent year, many of which saw him inviting fantastic collaborators in to contribute arrangements and other instruments. These days he calls Southern California home and works constantly on new music and honing his craft (on the side he plays tennis). Shahryar's musical realm is a magical and regal place, you are advised to enter as soon as possible.
